A 42nd Street Welcome!
The Castillo Theatre's 4th annual benefit gala was held at the
world-famous Sardi's Restaurant in New York City, Monday, September
20, 2004, just in time to kick off Castillo's first full season
on 42nd Street! The program featured statements from representatives
of the New York Theatre Community that welcomed Castillo, its
artists, volunteers and audiences to the theatre district.
Emmitt Thrower, who played Jackie Robinson in two previous productions of Stealin' Home, meets the newest Jackie Robinson, Garrett Lee Hendricks.
Anne Suddaby, Cathy Rose Salit and Pam Lewis
perform a song from Castillo On My Mind.
Brannon Woodfin, a.k.a. "Squeak" performs
an original poem.
Tim Tompkins, president of the Times Square
Alliance, welcomes Castillo to 42nd Street.
