Lev Vygotsky, a Soviet psychologist who lived and worked in the 1920s and 30s, has inspired educators and psychologists the world over with his socio-cultural understanding of human learning and development, language and play.

A new comprehensive educational film locates his theory in the events of the tumultuous past and the innovative Vygotskian practices of the present. Lev Vygotsky: One Man’s Legacy through his Life and Theory, was produced and directed by Valerie Lowe, and includes interviews with Vygotsky's family members and some of the world’s leading contemporary Vygotskian scholars, including Dr. Lois Holzman, who talks about Vygotsky’s influence on social therapy and the development programs of the All Stars Project.

Join us for the New York City premier of the film, followed by an audience Q&A with Dr. Holzman and a reception.

For tickets, call the Castillo Theatre Box Office at 212-941-1234.

Sponsored by The East Side Institute for Group and Short Term Psychotherapy and the All Stars Project, Inc.
