Recipient
Marketta Kimbrell is a
professor of film directing and has received the New York University
Distinguished Teaching Award. She founded the New York Street Theatre
Caravan (The Caravan), a recipient of the Obie Award for Sustained
Excellence. Her productions include Molly Maguire, which
won the Women’s Dramatist Award, and Sacco & Vanzetti,
which won the New York Foundation for the Arts Artist Fellowship
Award for Playwriting/Screenwriting.
