Joseph Chaikin has been
a great force in the theater community over the past forty years.
He has been honored with many awards, including the Vernon Rice
Award for outstanding contribution to the theater and a six-time
recipient of the Obie Award, including the first Lifetime Achievement
Obie awarded in 1977.
