Irondale Ensemble Project is an experimental/research theatre ensemble that has been in operation since 1983. Their primary goal is discovering how theatre can be important or central to daily life. They are located at the Brooklyn High School of the Arts. They have mounted two international and three domestic tours and have conducted educational and social outreach programs, comprised of workshops in New York City high school, jails and health facilities. They received the Grand Jury Prize at the St. Petersburg International Drama Theatre Festival in Russia in 1994.
