George Faison is among
the great choreographers of recent theatre. His groundbreaking work
on The Wiz won him a Tony for choreography, the first such
award be received by an African-American. Faison’s recent
productions include the revival of For Colored Girls Who Have
Considered Suicide When The Rainbow is Enuf, A Hymn for
Alvin Ailey on PBS, Great Performances and The
Outcase for Houston Grand Opera.
